This is the second project on Abundance with Swindon Borough Council who are looking to expand the use of clean energy to 200MW by 2020. This is the second partnership between the Council and community to install a 5MW ground-mounted solar farm. Following the success of Swindon Common Farm Solar, Chapel Farm is the next solar project from Swindon Borough Council. Just as before, this project is offering a 6% IRR through a 20 year Fixed Return Debenture, with the Council investing £3,000,000 alongside community investors. It’s another chance for you to earn a steady, long term return from generating clean energy. It’s also another investment by the Council to secure an income for projects, such as a sound barrier along a motorway, that will benefit local residents for years to come.
