2016 Project of the Year Award – Call for projects by 20 Nov!

14/11/2016

Citizenergy is happy to announce its 2016 Project of the Year Award, celebrating the portal’s first year online. The award is set to honour the project on Citizenergy that best contributes to a sustainable energy future.

ELIGIBILITY

All projects posted on Citizenergy after its launch in November 2015 and by 20 November 2016 are eligible – whether currently open for investment or already closed. The Citizenergy team will conduct brief a pre-selection to ensure only projects that have complete descriptions and that make clear contributions to a sustainable energy future enter the final voting.

Criteria such as energy saved and/or produced involvement of community, adaptation to local needs and conditions, contribution to energy independence and social aspects will be important in this selection.

VOTING

At the end of November the Citizenergy Team will hand the Project of the Year decision over to the public – individuals will be able to vote on the basis of project descriptions.

WINNERS

Winners will be officially announced in January where they will get a speaking slot at a special European Parliament event dedicated to engaging the public in sustainable energy including exposure and direct access to various members of parliament and other stakeholders. In addition to this and news coverage via Citizenergy, winners will receive a special “Winner of the Project of the Year Award” logo for their use. Winners will further have the possibility to write a blog article about their platform and projects and deliver a quote about Citizenergy to be featured on the homepage.

The Citizenergy Team wishes all those interested in applying much luck and hopes to be able to review many amazing sustainable energy projects!
