Citizenergy is increasing its reach on an almost weekly basis – this week’s inclusion of Belgium’s PajoPower and Portugal’s Parity are cases in point.

PajoPower, a Belgium cooperative operative in the hilly regions of Pajottenland and the Zennevallei, has been welcoming members since its founding in 2014. As shareholders, members of the cooperative are not only invited to participate directly in a wide range of sustainable energy projects, they democratically control the cooperative’s activities.

Parity, Citizenergy’s newest crowdfunding platform and Portugal’s first, also acts as a marketplace connecting organisations that want to engage in sustainable energy projects with investors and craftsmen. The goal: to help worthy projects move forward via crowd finance.

Citizenergy now counts 23 crowdfunding platforms and cooperatives from 14 countries, all striving to hand energy decisions back to the people. We look forward to the investment opportunities arising out of these two newcomers!
